At BH Lacrosse, our goal is to inspire and develop players of all ages through high-quality coaching and training tailored to individual needs.
At BH Lacrosse, we are committed to providing exceptional coaching that develops players not just in skill, but also in confidence and teamwork. Our training programs are designed for all levels, ensuring a supportive environment where athletes can thrive. We believe that every player can achieve greatness with the right guidance and resources.
Ben has worked with our son Dylan for around 18 months now and has been excellent from the start. He has really invested in Dylan spending quality time with him during training for Brooklands and at 121 sessions to understand his ambitions and focus on areas he needs to develop to achieve them. This has really helped Dylan develop his technical skills but also grow and mature as an all-round player. Following this continued support Dylan has now been called up to the England U20 squad, which is a huge achievement at only 16 and Ben has played a big part in this. We’re proud of Dylans achievements and grateful for Bens’s support.
Rob & Louise McGowanBen's expertise and knowledge of lacrosse reflects his tireless passion for the game. When coaching, he evaluates players, identifying strengths and weaknesses and then tailors the delivery of a training session in a way that suits that player. He is thoughtful and inspiring in his approach but most importantly gets results through creating a bespoke training programme that demands engagement and hard work. In the space of a year my son has improved immeasurably under Ben's guidance. He saw the raw talent and has moulded him into a player that will be able to realise his potential.
Claire O'BrienBen has been an outstanding lacrosse teacher and has made a tremendous impact on our pupils. He is fantastic with the children, creating a positive and inclusive environment where everyone feels confident to participate and learn. His enthusiasm and energy ensure that all pupils remain fully engaged throughout each session. One of Ben’s greatest strengths is his ability to adapt his lessons to meet the needs of different ages and abilities. He carefully tailors activities and challenges so that every child is appropriately supported and able to progress. The children have all made fantastic progress, both in their lacrosse skills and in their confidence, teamwork, and understanding of the game. We have been extremely impressed with the quality of his teaching and would highly recommend Ben to any school looking for a lacrosse coach.

About Ben.
Ben is passionate about developing lacrosse at every level — from introducing the game in schools and grassroots clubs, through to coaching on the England National Aspire Programmes. A former England international, Ben represented his country at the highest level and was part of the European Championship-winning teams in 1995 and 1996. Remarkably, after a below-knee amputation in 2022, he continues to play, bringing energy, resilience, and inspiration both on and off the field.
His coaching style is high-tempo, positive, and encouraging, built on thought-provoking questions and practical suggestions that help athletes grow their confidence and skills. Influenced by some of the most highly regarded coaches in the USA — where he volunteers with the International Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) — Ben continually develops his knowledge to deliver the latest coaching techniques.
Known for his ability to quickly understand how young players learn and what motivates them, Ben adapts his approach so that athletes not only grasp new skills quickly but also learn how to apply them effectively in their game. He balances areas for improvement with recognition of natural strengths, helping players become more self-sufficient and confident in their development.
Above all, Ben’s enthusiasm is infectious. His passion for lacrosse shines through in every session, inspiring boys, girls, women, and men alike to enjoy the sport, develop their game, and be part of the future of lacrosse.
Quick to identify areas for development and balancing them with slight adaptations to athletes strengths to help compensate and grow their game, clients see improvements quickly with foundations to build on.
Bens passion really shines through and enthuses young lacrosse players.

About Charlie.
I’ve been playing lacrosse since the age of seven, and it’s been a huge part of my life ever since. I started out at Heaton Mersey Lacrosse Club, where I was lucky enough to be part of two Junior Flag-winning teams—experiences that really shaped my love for the game and my understanding of teamwork.
I now play for the Heaton Mersey First Team, continuing to develop my skills and compete at a high level. Along the way, I’ve also had the opportunity to go on two tours to the USA, playing against a variety of teams and experiencing different styles of lacrosse, which has broadened my perspective on the game. I’ve also represented England at Under-20 level in the Home Internationals Series, which was a fantastic experience and a real highlight of my playing journey.
As a coach, I’m passionate about helping players build confidence, enjoy the game, and develop their skills in a positive and supportive environment. I aim to bring energy, encouragement, and my own experiences into every session, helping players get the most out of their lacrosse journey.
